KICK Packet Program

The KICK Campaign (Keeping Immunizations Current for Kids) consists of distributing current immunization information to parents of newborns in the Tulsa area. At the time of discharge from the hospital, a packet is given to each new mother. These packets contain:

• The latest recommended immunization schedule
• a description of vaccine-preventable diseases;
  an immunization record form
• a directory of immunization resources in the Tulsa community
• a brochure introducing The Tulsa Area Immunization Coalition

Our outreach is targeted for parents of the approximately 12,500 infants born annually in Tulsa area hospitals.

The two-fold purpose of these packets is to educate parents of newborns as to the importance of childhood vaccinations, and to provide them with a helpful reference guide to resources available in the Tulsa community.
